General Conditions For Entry

1.enrollment

1. Enrollment

Prospective students must complete the Application Form and submit it to the Japan Culinary Arts Academy, hereafter referred to as the "School." The form can be downloaded from the School's website or obtained from School staff. Please be aware that the School has the right to reject enrollment at its discretion.

Fees

2. Fees

Please ensure that both the enrollment fee and the tuition fee (collectively referred to as the "Fees") are paid in full by the due date specified in the invoice. Failure to make timely payments may result in course cancellation.

 

The Fees cover tuition, venue usage, utilities, ingredients, teaching materials, interpreter services, and field trip admission. Please note that the Fees do not include expenses such as round-trip flight tickets, lodging charges, transportation between the lodging facility and the lesson venue, transportation for field trips, and other personal expenses.

Attendance

4. Attendance

If a student needs to be absent, they must inform staff in advance. Students must maintain an 80% attendance rate and update their daily activities on a designated Google form. The school will not provide makeup sessions for absences due to personal reasons. Persistent absence may result in course cancellation.

Force Majeure

5. Force Majeure

The school is not liable for circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters or government sanctions. No refunds will be provided for canceled services. The school reserves the right to change instructors when necessary.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

7. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

- 180 or more days before the course: 100% tuition fee refund; no enrollment fee refund.

- 60 to 179 days before the course: 50% tuition fee refund; no enrollment fee refund.

- 30 to 59 days before the course: 30% tuition fee refund; no enrollment fee refund.

- Less than 29 days before the course: No refund.

If the school cancels a lesson, the missed lesson's tuition fee will be refunded to the students on a per diem basis.

Photo and Video recording

9. Photography and Video Recording

The school may take photos or videos of students for marketing. Students (or parents/guardians of those under 18) who object must notify the school in writing at the time of booking or by completing the Social Media Consent Form.

Intellectual Property Rights

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All teaching materials, recipes, lectures, and curriculums provided by the School are the exclusive intellectual property of the School.

They may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without the prior written consent of the School.

Privacy and Consent

13. Privacy and Consent

By enrolling in the school, students acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of their data in accordance with the school's privacy policy.
